What is Hand Embellishment?

Hand Embellishment is a wonderful extra edition to your new artwork - in simple terms its where I go back and paint directly onto the printed canvas adding some ‘extra flare’ to the piece. It gives the feel of an original piece - without the price point of an original. I add back texture and fine details to really extenuate the piece and add even more character. Hand embellished prints are completely unique to you, and are 1 of a kind, meaning they are no longer limited edition (e.g. print number 25/250) - they are 1/1. Its a process I adore, it gives me the opportunity to work on my favourite pieces again!

I also offer a bespoke hand embellishment service for an additional £80, where I can tailor background colours etc, to match your home! For more information on this please send me an email detailing your ideas!

Do the prints need a frame?

No, frames are purely a personal design choice. The prints come pre-stretched across an internal wooden frame, so are ready to hang as soon as they arrive!

What size do frames add to the prints dimensions?

Frames add 6cm to the overall height and width of the pring - e.g. an 80x80cm print that is framed would be 86x86cm.

How long do orders take?

Orders can take up to 4-8 weeks to be ready for collection, postal orders take an extra 2/3 days.

Hand Embellished prints can take longer than 8 weeks based on my availability at the time.

Please note I will not be able to provide order updates before 8 weeks has passed.

If you require the order faster or for a certain date please get in contact and I will try my best to help. Orders can sometimes be rushed when needed - please note that the fastest turn possible is 14 days, however this isn’t always possible.

The last date for Christmas orders guaranteed is 1st December 2024.

Where can I view your art before I buy?

You can view artwork in my Gallery in Newtownards - 100a Comber Road - Opening hours are on the website in ‘Visit the Gallery’

Prints are in display in Ards Shopping Centre, as well as both ‘Millars’ Resturants in belfast and ‘The Hoose’ in ballyhackamore.

Do I get a certificate with my purchase?

Yes all limited edition prints come with a certificate of authentication.

Can I commission a painting?

Yes! Send me an email and we can discuss you thoughts- prices from £290. Or pop into the gallery.
