What are the next steps to commissioning a piece of artwork?

• First step - Get in contact! - Please give as much information as possible ,e.g. who its for, what the painting is of etc… attach photos if you wish!

• Emily will then contact you directly to get some further information - and discuss ideas - she will likely get you to complete a quick questionnaire to make sure you are both on the same page.

• Then a contract will be sent over & A deposit of 20% is required to secure your space when the contract is signed.

• An exact timeline of the next steps may not be possible due to demand but From there Emily will discuss colours schemes, textures and bring all of her expertise to make this as straight forward for you as possible - while involving you all the way! If it is a pet/animal subject, you will send over photos (guidance will be given.. the more the better! It allows for the character to be seen), or for a fee Emily can take photos herself which ensures she has all the details she needs!

• Typically, once a subject has been decided its on to colour decisions - mock up images will be created to give you a better feel for the finished piece and to help you decide on colour choices. Emily can also offer expert advice on this if you are unsure of exactly what you want - that’s what she’s best at after all, seeing how colours work together! She will make sure she sees your dream piece come to life!

• Once colours and concepts have been decided - a further 30% of the balance will be due.

• Emily will then show you the outline sketch of her work & the background colour - this will be sent for approval - at this point the remaining balance is due.

• Emily will keep you updated with progress and how your piece is coming along.

• Once your piece is completed it will be ready for collection - Emily will not ship originals however buyer can arrange delivery if they so wish but will be responsible for packaging and for the artwork in transit. Another option would be to have the artwork framed by Emily in the best local frame shop, not only does the frame set of your new artwork but the gallery can organise shipping.

• Last step - Sit back and enjoy the happiness radiating from your new piece! It will definitely be a top conversation point in your home!

*Pricing is based on one subject, Second subject can be added for 35% of the base price - further additional subjects can be added for approx. 20% base price. Please be aware not all canvas sizes can accommodate this.
